“Hello, I’m Karen. Most of my career has been as a Personal Banker with Barclays Bank before leaving to work with pre-school children and managing a nursery school. Mike and I started Mortgage Steps in 2004 and after this, I dedicated my time to supporting the business. I vary my time looking after my grandchildren along with managing both the company finances and running our family home. My relaxation is enjoying family, seeing friends, theatre, sewing, reading, walking our dog; Hugo, cycling, and short trips away exploring the countryside.”

“Hi, I’m Roanna (please call me Ro). I’ve worked in finance since 2007 and joined Mortgage Steps in 2014, shortly after having my daughter. I qualified as an adviser in 2016 after experiencing the ‘back office’ side of the role, working alongside Mike. Apart from finding my clients the best solution to fit their needs and circumstances, I have one main goal when it comes to arranging mortgages and protection products for my clients and that is to remove as much stress from them as possible, now and in the future. When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my family and friends. I’m married with two children who like to keep me on my toes, so, as a family, we are pretty active. Exploring new walks around East Anglia is one of our favourite things to do and Barney; our whippet, comes along with us everywhere we go!”
